The trees are those that can be seen in the middle distance, on the left, in NS3976 : Site of Mains of Cardross Farm; the same pole is visible there. In the present photograph, a small section of iron fence is under the tree on the left.
The line of trees formed a boundary associated with Mains of Cardross Farm, of which little trace is now visible (see the link given above).

Mains of Cardross
Mains of Cardross was a farm near the River Leven, 550 metres ESE of present-day Dalmoak Farm (Young's Farm), with which its former fields are now associated.
