Railway relics
Recent excavation works for a new footbridge have revealed a some old pieces of track of various vintages and a few red bricks - all that remain of the former down platform and buildings at Inverkip railway station. The platform and building were removed in the mid 1960s when the line was electrified and singled.

This LinkExternal link to the railscot web site shows the station in all its glory in 1963.
