Alice Taylor monument - Romsey Abbey
Alice Taylor monument - Romsey Abbey
Alice Taylor was the daughter of a local doctor and surgeon who is commemorated in effigy in this poignant if sentimental memorial designed and executed by her grieving father. She was just two when she died in 1843 of scarlet fever. The inscription is a Biblical quotation (II Kings 4:26) LinkExternal link .
