SE6785 : Where's the River

taken 13 years ago, near to Nawton, North Yorkshire, England

Where's the River
Where's the River
The dried up bed of the Hodge Beck at the ford close by St Gregory's Minister. Further upstream the beck was flowing at low level, but here it had disappeared underground. I was able to walk downstream until just below the Minster, before large pools prevented further progress.
