NY7934 : Road descending Spitley Tongue

taken 14 years ago, 3 km from Harwood, County Durham, England

Road descending Spitley Tongue
Road descending Spitley Tongue
This old road descends from the B6277 to join the minor road serving the settlement of Harwood. It's quite likely that the original road route through the valley of Harwood Beck (a tributary valley of Teesdale and not as many might think, Teesdale itself), ran this way before being re-routed on the slope higher to the north.
