Opened in 1992, in the townland of Ballyraine, on the periphery of Letterkenny. It was the first church in Ireland to bear the name of the Irish Martyrs. In the year 2000, it was established as a separate parish within Letterkenny and given the name Aughaninshin after an old Franciscan Monastery in the townland of Aughaninshin, more at LinkExternal link
