Blaeberry (Vaccinium myrtillus)
Blaeberry (Vaccinium myrtillus)
This luscious berry was one of a good crop, still lingering on the plants in mid-October though most of the leaves had fallen. It tasted as good as it looked! Other names for it include bilberry, blueberry, whortleberry and huckleberry.
