Remains of RAF Chipping Ongar
This is the remains of a dispersal on RAF Chipping Ongar. The airfield was known locally as Willingale airfield as this is the closest village. The field became operational with B26 aircraft, in July of 1943 a year later the units moved to France. RAF Dakotas flew from here to drop paratroops during the crossing of the Rhine in 1945
