Chingford Old Church (All Saints)
Chingford Old Church (All Saints)
Believed to have been built around the 12th Century, this lovely church had been on the brink of dereliction with no roof and overgrown with ivy. However, in the 1920s, thanks to the generosity of Miss L. G. Boothby-Heathcote of Friday Hill who donated some £6000 in the memory of her Brother, the Church was restored by 1930 to almost as it was in the 16th century.
