The Temple at Hatchlands Park
The Temple at Hatchlands Park
Situated on the southern side of Hatchlands Park, this classical stone temple dates from the 18th century and has a copper dome. The inscription at the foot of the columns says the following "This temple was brought AD 1953 from Busbridge Hall to stand here as a memorial of Rose Ellen Cooper 1863-1927 who long lived at and loved Hatchlands the home successively of her father and her son". They were successive owners of Hatchlands Park.
