HU4013 : Cliff edge crevasse

taken 8 years ago, near to Exnaboe, Shetland Islands, Great Britain

Cliff edge crevasse
Cliff edge crevasse
This part of a very high and dramatic cliff is due to drop away.
Quite frightening at close inspection, the deep fissure was at least 100 feet long and 130 feet above the sea and I could imagine the crevasse being half that distance deep.
It must be widening and deepening all the time - how interesting it would be to measure movement over the years!
