"Flights of Fancy" stone seat
Encrusted with lichen and moss, this has the look of an ancient churchyard monument, but it was created in 1997 by sculptor Timothy Shutter. It is one of 10 works, by different artists, in the Eden Benchmark series installed along the River Eden to celebrate the Millennium (more information here LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) ).
