TQ3178 : 233-289 Kennington Road
taken 8 years ago, near to Lambeth, Great Britain

233-289 Kennington Road
A remarkably long and continuous Georgian terrace. Late C18th. Hard to see from the photo, but the central three houses are crowned by a pediment as if they were the centre of a very large house. Grade II listed.
As far as I'm concerned you can't beat Georgian architecture, but I can understand why, when faced by street after street like this, the Victorians felt they needed to tear up the rule-book and go wild.
