Approaching Hafod-y-llyn
Approaching Hafod-y-llyn
A Welsh Highland Railway train, hauled by NG/G16 Beyer-Garratt No.87, approaching Hafod-y-llyn. This location, with the loop close behind the photographer, was the WHR terminus, before the line was re-built to Pont Croesor and Porthmadog. With a cloudless sky, Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon summit) can be seen on the left of picture. Afon Glaslyn is just out of picture, to the left.
