The window sills of the south chapel contain the effigies of C14 knights pre-dating the building in which they now reside. They are thought to have been brought to St Peter's from a demolished Franciscan priory at the time of the Dissolution. Their relaxed and naturalistic pose is uncharacteristic of the period. Link
