Epping Long Green

Historically this part of Epping pre-dates the current town of Epping which lies to the south. Epping Long Green straddles the hamlet of Epping Green and is bisected by Epping Road.

Epping Long Green is an Epping Forest Green Lane which in the past would have provided grazing land for local people and drovers. These lanes linked Waltham Abbey, Harlow, Latton Priory and the surrounding villages.

Footpaths and bridleways link Epping Long Green to Galleyhill Green TL4004 : Bridleway through Galleyhill Green and thence to Aimes Green TL3902 : Epping Forest, Aimes Green.
