This painted slogan appeared in autumn 2011, as a wave of protest spread beyond the impoverished countries of the southern Eurozone (Greece, Spain) to the developed west as a whole, with "Occupy Wall Street" protests mirrored in the City of London. The umbrella name for the British protests, "Occupy LSX", stands for "Occupy the London Stock Exchange". In a very twenty-first century note, the graffiti provides the protests' Twitter hashtag.
