Erratic boulder, Township Allotment
Erratic boulder, Township Allotment
This large rock of Silurian slate has been dumped here by glacial ice. Sitting on Carboniferous limestone, it probably came from the hills or valleys to the north as ice moved out of the central Lake District towards the lowlands and the Irish Sea.
