SK6331 : The old Nottingham - Melton railway line

taken 8 years ago, near to Stanton-on-The-Wolds, Nottinghamshire, Great Britain

The old Nottingham - Melton railway line
The old Nottingham - Melton railway line
Now part of a railway testing area based at Great Dalby. Clearly in use here from time to time as the rails are relatively shiny. The bridge is interesting as it was clearly built simply to link the two parts of a field which the railway ran through. Despite the nearness of the bridge from which the view is taken, this could not be used for access as it is in fact in a different parish and therefore clearly belonging to a different landowner.
