The college sits above the shops on Oxford Street, a long, low block with a stone grid and rectilinear, abstract patterns that are very redolent of the 1960s (TQ2881 : Detail of college, Oxford Street). The building was designed by the London County Council's Architects' Department in 1962-63.
The tower to the left is part of an extensive complex occupying the whole of the rest of the block including offices and the shops facing Oxford Street (TQ2881 : 33 Cavendish Square (1)). It was designed by T.P. Bennett & Son in 1957-62.
