taken 12 years ago, near to Holloway, Derbyshire, England

Junction Workshops
Junction Workshops
The second oldest railway workshop in the world, being built between 1826 and 1830. These workshops are at the southern end of the Cromford and High Peak railway, at the junction with the canal. Inside the workshops are original cast iron rails and a spare steam winder. The nearest brakekvan is an LMS 1945 Derby/Wolverhampton built example, the other is a 1940 LMS Derby built van.
