Sedgley Beacon
Sedgley Beacon
This Grade II listed tower dates from 1846 and is sadly in need of restoration. Sedgley Beacon is on a high point of a limestone ridge and is visible for many miles. Other beacons in the chain are on Barr Beacon and Cannock Chase. These would almost certainly have been lit to warn of the approach of the Spanish Armada in August.1588
