Radcliffe Cenotaph
Radcliffe Cenotaph was built in 1922 as a memorial to those killed in “the war to end all wars”. Like other such memorials, it now honours casualties from all conflicts since the First World War.

Here, on Remembrance Sunday (which is traditionally held on the Sunday nearest to Armistice Day LinkExternal link ) many have stayed behind after the Service of Remembrance to examine the wreaths and, in one case at least, to point out names on the tablets.

The memorial itself is a grade II* listed structure.
