Snibston Discovery Park

Snibston discovery park is a science museum run by Leicestershire county council. The site is open most days and has exhibits relating to the counties industrial past, present and future. There are also areas relating to fashion and science. Museum is built on the site of Snibston colliery, a large building houses the exhibits. Outside is the remains of the colliery (c.1983) which is very authentic. Sadly the colliery is on the buildings at risk register. The country park beside is part of the old tip but is has been landscaped.
