Medicean Lion Statue
Medicean Lion Statue
This impressive garden ornament was carved by Joseph Wilton as a copy of the antique Medici Lions in Florence. The gardens were laid out by Robert Adam for Lord Curzon in the late 18th century, including the orangery seen in the background. Adam also designed the plinth for the lion statue.
