NZ6907 : South from Danby Low Moor

taken 8 years ago, near to Castleton, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

South from Danby Low Moor
South from Danby Low Moor
East of Castleton is an outcrop of moorland, called Danby Low Moor, the same as the more extensive section north of the River Esk. Looking south from its bracken-covered slopes we are looking up Danby Dale, which contains Danby Beck which flows into the River Esk. The dale is good agricultural land and cattle pasture. Castleton Rigg is the high ground to the right.
