The Sands at Traigh Mhor
The Sands at Traigh Mhor
These white sands are mainly formed from fragments of sea shells. They are 'fished' at low tide for razor fish (see bicycle) by the local people. The sands are also used as the main runway for planes landing on Barra. Again, a low tide activity.
