Wall and corner protection, Belfast (17)
Anonymous wall and corner protector in Callender Street J3374 : Callender Street, Belfast. This was the site of the former C&A Modes shop until it closed in 2000. C&A lost no time in redeveloping the site – the old building was demolished and the present one built. Whether this is the original protector reinstated or a replacement is another matter.

Usually metal attachments, often conical or spherical, dating mainly from the era of the horse cart and the early motor lorry. Many cast by local foundries.
