Garage between Railway Street and Scotswood Road
View towards the flats of Cruddas Park (or Riverside Dene as it is now known) NZ2363 : The refurbishment of the Cruddas Park tower blocks, Scotswood Road from the upper floor of the Times Square car park. The tall apartment block on the right is NZ2363 : Cruddas Park House. Part of Newcastle College is on the right.
The garage in the foreground has seen a variety of small businesses and now operates a car hand wash and valeting service.
Behind the garage, on the left, is the Globe public house NZ2463 : The Globe public house, Newcastle upon Tyne on the corner of Plummer Street and Railway Street. Plummer Street is named after Matthew Plummer (1771-1856) who was a director and later Chairman of the Newcastle & Carlisle Railway Company and widely attributed with its financial success.
