Abbey Pumping Station - ornamentation
Abbey Pumping Station - ornamentation
This shows two of the 1891 built engines by Gimson & Co of Leicester. Note the lavish ornamentation on the columns and entablature. The closest flywheel is devoid of spokes as this was, in part, a time exposure.
