SK5802 : National Gas Museum, Leicester

taken 10 years ago, near to Aylestone, Leicester, Great Britain

National Gas Museum, Leicester
National Gas Museum, Leicester
Housed in the former gatehouse of Aylestone Road Gasworks ,dating from 1878. The gas part of National Grid now operates from this site. The elegant houses beyond are apparently workers' houses but I would venture to suggest these were higher rank workers.
