Markle Fishery and Clubhouse
Markle Fishery and Clubhouse
The ponds of Markle Fishery are man-made, the result of peat beds having been
dug-out for fuel over the years. First edition OS maps show no water here, only a boggy
area known as "Provest's Park".

Much of the area around the fishery is scheduled by Historic Scotland.

North Berwick Law is visible on the horizon.
