These Automated External Defibrillators are popping up all over the place it seems nowadays. The devices are designed to be largely automatic and can be used by non-trained people where a heart problem is suspected. It can help to stabilise a patient's heartbeat but does not intervene if the heart has something other than ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation.
