To the junction
To the junction
Looking towards the junction at the bottom of the village of Littlebredy, there is an Ordnance Survey benchmark beside the green door on the left (SY5889 : Benchmark by the Estate Yard). Also on left is a milk churn stand that would have belonged to Littlebredy Farm- before the arrival of bulk milk tankers, milk was transported in churns on the back of a lorry; to assist the driver in loading the full churns, stands were erected at a similar height to the lorry bed to prevent any unnecessary lifting and straining.
