Junction of Canal Walk and Regent Street, Swindon January 2012
I have photographed from around this location on previous occasions to document the changes over the last couple of years SU1484 : Golden Jubilee Clock, The Parade, Swindon and SU1484 : Bhs store, Bridge Street, Swindonand SU1484 : Junction of Canal Walk and Regent Street, Swindon March 2010 The building works are now more or less complete. The development on the left is still part of the Arcadia group of retail outlets but where originally there was one shop, Bhs, it is now two, Bhs and Top Shop with a unit still vacant. For even a gifted entrepreneur like Sir Philip Green, times are hard. He said in November 2011 that 250 of Arcadia's stores may have to close over the next three years.
