Trees at Ankerwycke: weeping willows
Weeping willows tend to go unnoticed when not in leaf. They are generally the first trees to regain their leaves, in very early spring - these may well be showing green by the first week of February. They are growing in pastureland which was once attached to Ankerwycke Manor.
