View eastward across the SVR Locomotive Yard south of Bridgnorth Station. Longmoor Military Railway No. 600 was built as No. 3651 (later 73651) for the WD in 12/43 by NB Loco and unlike 124 of the 150 built it never went overseas, but remained at Longmoor for training purposes. (See also NS7457 : War Department 2-10-0 in Motherwell Locomotive Yard). When the LMR closed in 1969, No. 600 'Gordon' was acquired by the SVR. (The photo shows part of various other engines acquired).
