Calf Holes in moderate flood
Also known as Dry Laithe Cave this is a popular (but not today!) cave with competent beginners. A through trip can be made to Browgill Cave nearby with an 11m ladder or ropes to overcome the entrance pitch. We saw no cavers here nor at the parking area nearby which makes me think that caving is no longer as popular as it used to be in the 1980s and 90s? Even with the relatively high water levels today there are caves around here which are viable. Ali should be careful - those rocks are worn smooth by generations of wellies and very slippery!
