Gate House, Merevale
Merevale Estate Gate House on the B4116 Merevale Lane to the west of Atherstone was built in 1848/49 for the owner of Merevale Hall, Sir William Dugdale the antiquarian. The architect was Henry Clutton (1819-1893) and it was built of sandstone ashlar in the Gothic Revival style. It is Grade II listed. Behind it lies the Grade I listed church of Our Lady.
