Honans Quay, Limerick
The Honan family were a well known business family in Limerick in the 18th & 19th centuries, and this road, presumably built on the site of a quay, was undoubtedly named after one of the family. On the left is part of Sarsfield Lock, on the Shannon Navigation, which is still in use. Beyond it, in the far distance, is the 13th century King John's Castle.
