Victorian wall in Matford Avenue
Victorian wall in Matford Avenue
This wall is the western wall of the gardens of Deepdene House, which was destroyed in the 1942 blitz of Exeter. Just over a dozen post-war houses were built in its 3 acre site. It is possible to trace the garden wall behind these houses.
