SD8079 : Cam Beck above Ling Gill Bridge

taken 7 years ago, near to Far Gearstones, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

Cam Beck above Ling Gill Bridge
Cam Beck above Ling Gill Bridge
The beck is a considerable stream at this confluence so we traversed the steep slope on the eastern bank down to see the bridge. Note the young trees in protective plastic sleeves near the crest of the slope. Perhaps it's a plan to re-afforest the gill. A few native trees would certainly improve the rather bare and impoverished landscape here.
