Alverstone Mead Pose
Alverstone Mead Pose
At the Alverstone Mead Nature Reserve, the squirrel sits in characteristic pose, whilst nibbling on a nut. Note how the squirrel's paws have evolved; four 'fingers' with claws to enable easy climbing and digging, plus a vestigial 'thumb' to hold food, whilst eating.
