Northernhay Gardens, Exeter
Northernhay Gardens, Exeter
These gardens follow the outside of the city walls for about 300 metres. Their landscaping dates from the C17. On the left, beyond a cross of gridlines, is John Angel's war memorial (1923), and the distant buildings are the Rougemont Thistle Hotel, the spire of St Michael's church, and the low turret of Exeter Central station. An autumnal Acer on the right.
