TQ1656 : The River Mole at Leatherhead

taken 13 years ago, near to Leatherhead, Surrey, England

The River Mole at Leatherhead
The River Mole at Leatherhead
The view is downstream. The bridge in the foreground carries the Leatherhead-Horsham railway line, the further bridge carries the line which runs west to Guildford. Both are of similar design and of red-brick construction. Behind the camera are two more bridges: a modern one, carrying the road to Fetcham and Bookham; and then, further upstream, the old Town Bridge.
