Anything the Elizabethans could do, the Victorians/Edwardians could do better. A rather splendid piece of black-and-white timbering. It is, of course, as the listing points out, pastiche as underneath there is a steel frame. Very decorative and one would have to be very churlish to resent its inauthenticity. By Maxwell & Tuke, 1902. Grade II listed.
