A glowing Cabot Tower on Brandon Hill
A glowing Cabot Tower on Brandon Hill
The famous Bristol landmark was built in 1897 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of John Cabot's sailing to the New World, and sits atop the prominent Brandon Hill. In recent times the tower started to show significant structural problems and was closed for a costly repair. But after four years and some 400,000 of council money it reopened. To mark it out new lights were installed, showing up in the dusk.
