Sale War Memorial
The war memorial, unveiled on School Road outside SJ7892 : Sale Town Hall in May 1925, commemorates the 400 men from Sale who died during the First World War and the 300 who died in the Second World War. The memorial, which consists of a statue of a mourning Saint George on top of a granite pedestal, was designed by local sculptor Arthur Sherwood Edwards. It is designated as a Grade II listed building.
