NT1575 : Former Ford

taken 7 years ago, near to Turnhouse, Edinburgh, Great Britain

Former Ford
Former Ford
There was a small group of people walking along the opposite bank as I was taking this shot, and I overheard one of them saying that there used to be a ford here, which is possibly why the track comes to this point. You can see the remains of the approach to the ford on the right bank in this view, but the river must have undercut the bank on the left because it is now difficult to see where it could possibly have been.
