West Usk Lighthouse - Uskmouth
Formerly a lighthouse but now in private hands and operated as a hotel/guesthouse. Originally built on an island in 1821 it is now backed by reclaimed land and was decommissioned in 1922. It was designed by Scottish engineer James Walker, who became Chief Engineer for Trinity House and was involved in other projects such as The Needles, Wolf and Bass Rock lighthouses.
